Emanuel Navarrete, 26-1, 22 KO’s, used his size and activity to beat up and outwork the defending WBO JR. Featherweight Title, Isaac Dogboe, 21-1, 14 KO’s, taking the unanimous decision win and title strap by scores of 115-113, 116-112 (twice). In the first round, Dogboe owned it, but it all changed in the second round when Navarrete elected to battle at close range and hurt Dogboe with a left hook to the body in the second round and did more damage in the third.

The dominance continued but Dogboe would have a couple good rounds in the 7th and 8th and scored a knockdown in the 9th round that was called a slip. The favor would be returned in the 10th when Dogboe was knocked down and it was called a slip. In the final three rounds of the fight, Dogboe took a terrible beating and was just looking for the final bell.

In the end, the right man won and Navarrete is now a world champion. Dogboe has to go back to the drawing board and has to have a better battle plan for a taller and more aggressive challenger.
