Warner Bros Home Entertainment is releasing the popular animated show “INFINITY TRAIN: BOOK TWO” on DVD on May 25th and having a teenage son, this is a show that I’m familiar with.  The Cartoon Network has produced a lot of edgy shows and this one is connected to one of my favorite of the bunch, REGULAR SHOW.

The DVD set includes all 10 episodes and some very cool special features.  Mirror Tulip, an escaped reflection rom the mirror world is the main focus of the series and the animation is intense and unique.  Although similar to a lot of CN shows like REGULAR SHOW, it stands apart with the material and characters that they use.

INFINITY TRAIN: BOOK 2 focuses on the friendship between Tulip and Jesse Cosay, a 14-year-old, and it delves into various topics without beating you over the head with it.  The approach the show takes is one of exploration and story-telling and it has its very serious moments.  Even though I keep on referring to REGULAR SHOW, it’s vastly different in tone even if the animation is similar.

I really enjoyed this show, but probably not as much as my son, who is a teenager.   That seems to be the target audience, but I really liked it as well.  I recommend it.
