Press Release

Geno McGahee, the filmmaker that brought the horror fans “FAMILY SECRET” has two films on the verge of release. His award-winning horror anthology SCARY TALES will be released later this year, followed by the highly anticipated monster movie “SICKLE.” For weeks now, McGahee has noted that there would be a big announcement regarding SICKLE and to the delight of the horror and metal fans, the popular band “Tigertailz” has brought their amazing music to the film.

Tigertailz made their first huge impact in 1990 with the the album Bezerk, featuring the huge hits “LOVE BOMB BABY” and “HEAVEN.” In 2013, they are still bringing in the masses, featuring the lineup of:

Jay Pepper – lead guitar, backing vocals (1984-1994, 2005-present)
Rob Wylde – rhythm guitar (2012-2013) – Bass (2013- present)
Jules Millis – lead vocals (2012-present)

Journalist Jim Minkle noted that “the combination of McGahee’s horror magic and the amazing talent of Tigertailz is the best combo since Dokken and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET,” and this is not the first comparison that SICKLE has gotten to the Freddy franchise and character. Vinnie Franklin of NewzBreaker exclaims: “This is a match made in heaven…or hell! It’s great to see the mix of Metal and Horror again. The winning formula is back and this is the best horror news I’ve heard in years!”

The Tigertailz/SICKLE combo joins the great horror/metal pairings of the past. Megadeth/SHOCKER, Alice Cooper/FRIDAY THE 13TH and Dokken/NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET went down in the history of both music and film and captured the imagination of the world. In 2013, here we go again with Tigertailz and SICKLE.

SICKLE is going to be unleashed on the public in late 2013 and with the addition of Tigertailz, the buzz is getting louder. Stay tuned for more updates about SICKLE and this pairing up…
