Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just released HEAD OF THE CLASS: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON on DVD, featuring 24 episodes with various messages and laughs along the way.

Each episode is defined by the characters and how they deal with various situations.  The cool teacher has to deal with the preps, jocks and nerds and each episode tends to focus on one or two of the characters and a certain situation.  Sometimes, they present a really serious topic and other times they go for laughs.  It’s a nice balance.

I realized that the actor playing Eric was also in an episode of THREE’S COMPANY and they were totally different, but I knew I knew him from somewhere.  He plays the cool guy in this one it is pretty amazing what passed for cool back in the late eighties.

The series is classic 80’s TV, trying to entertain the audience and teach an occasional lesson.  There is a level of sincerity with this series no matter how silly it gets at time and that was the secret to its success.  It’s nice to see that the show is back on DVD and it’s definitely worth a watch and purchase if you enjoy 80’s classic TV.
