Hangman Page got beyond Colt Cabana of the Dark Order last week to move on into the tournament with hopes of getting a shot at the AEW world title. Wardlow destroyed Jungle Boy to make his way, making this match happen.
When AEW launched, Page was given a big push he wasn’t ready for. He found success in the tag team division, winning the titles with Kenny Omega and holding them for a long time. After losing the belts, both Omega and Page have gone into singles action and they are on a collision course.
Wardlow is a beast and might be the only thing that will stop an eventual Omega-Page showdown, but I suspect Page gets by in a very tough match and will face Omega in the finals, where Omega’s full heel turn will take place.
