Jon Moxley’s title defense against Brian Cage was moved to the 15th of the month due to Moxley’s wife having Covid-19 and a mandatory quarantine. Taz makes the comment that they “don’t run a sloppy shop,” an obvious dig at the WWE, who are having all sorts of issues with the coronavirus and their handling of it.
The Best Friends finally get their shot at the titles against the long-reigning champions, Hangman Page and Kenny Omega. The momentum shifts back and forth, and FTR (Formerly the Revival) comes to the ring with beach chairs to watch the show.
The brutality goes to the outside of the ring and Omega gets tossed into Page and into the metal barriers. The momentum is with the challengers. Page starts getting some of the control back and tags out to Omega and the champions are starting to put their moves together.
Trent dodges the last call and they last their finisher to get the near fall! Exciting stuff! Chuck Taylor lands a great pile driver on Omega. Page and Trent are now alone in the ring. Hangman lands the dead eye but only gets a 2 count. A buckshot lariat on Trent leads to the 3 count and the champions retain the belts.
