Super lightweight, George Rincon, 10-0, 7 KO’s, had no problem stopping Diego Perez, 13-10-1, 11 KO’s, within in a round in a terrible mismatch. A right hook from the southpaw stance dropped Perez with about a minute remaining in round one. A straight left would put him down again. He would arise but be put down again quickly with a barrage, ending in a TKO in the first.
After the fight was over, Rincon would collapse and a seizure was reported in a very scary moment. Thankfully, Rincon seemed OK and props to Perez for coming over in near tears to make sure that the man that just beat him to a pulp was OK. It was a very strange and scary moment in the sport of kings.
