Eli’s commitment to fighting animal abuse has netted him a Humanitarian Award, which he’ll be receiving on September 25 at PETA’s 30th Anniversary Gala.
In addition to Eli’s campaign that urges viewers to always report cruelty to animals—because people who hurt humans often start out as animal abusers—he has also spoken out against keeping marine mammals in captivity and has written to SeaWorld to urge the theme park to release its captive mammals to sanctuaries.
Other awardees include Woody Harrelson, Olivia Munn, and Eva Mendes. The gala will be hosted by previous PETA award winner Alec Baldwin.
