In a minor upset in the featherweight division, Eduardo Ramirez, 23-2-3, 10 KO’s, scored a fourth round knockout over the formerly undefeated, Leduan Barthelemy, 15-1-1, 7 KO, via a left hand.
From the opening bell, Ramirez was finding a home for the straight left hand. Barthelemy didn’t have much of an answer outside of clutching. Ramirez kept landing the same shot over and over until the fourth round when it meant the most. Barthelemy was caught while he was throwing and never saw the incoming left cross. He got up on wobbly legs and could not continue. The fight was over and Ramirez has a great showing.
