That was quick, but it was expected. Heavyweight contender, Daniel Dubois, 17-1, 16 KO’s, walked right through journeyman, Juiseppe Angelo Cusumano, 19-4, 17 KO’s, knocking him down three times in the first round.
Cusumano had never been stopped before but had never fought an opponent with a pulse before. Dubois proved that Cusumano did not belong in the upper echelon of the heavyweight division…nowhere near.
It didn’t take long to put him Cusumano down. A left hook started it and a right hand would put him on the floor. He got up at 9 and a right hand would drop him again. A third knockdown would happen after a barrage with yet another right hand making it a night. Dubois is back in the game and is dangerous no matter who he faces in the heavyweight division.
