By Chris Summerfield

Begins with two workers within the London sewers, being down there for maintenance reasons, they hear a noise and Arthur (Ken Campbell) goes to investigate though seems to disappear, his fellow worker, George (Vas Blackwood) then hears screaming. He goes to investigate, finding Arthur stunned and staring, moments later a woman appears screaming then is pulled backwards in to one of the dark tunnels.

The story then goes to a party, where, Kate (Franka Potente) a twenty something woman decides to leave the party and head on to another and while in the underground waiting for her train she falls asleep, waking to find she had missed her train, though she then boards an empty train… the train suddenly comes to an halt, the driver murdered, though Kate unaware of this. Moments later a torch shines upon the blackened train and Guy appears. Guy (Jeremy Sheffield) a friend of hers, tries it on with her, being drunk and high on drugs and wanting sex, becomes rough… He is suddenly grabbed and dragged off the train. He reappears bloody then disappears.

Kate flees the train to meet a down and out couple that live within the underground. Jimmy (Paul Rattray) and Mandy (Kelly Scott). Jimmy decides to help Kate reach the security office, so she can report what has happened, though only after taking a bribe.

The movie then picks up pace as the characters are killed one by one, until Kate finds herself alone and eventually gets captured by the creature lurking down there, she wakes to find herself in a cage, along with George in one nearby, they then make their escape from this creatures leer, though are chased… can they get out alive?

The movie is made in Britain and as a great creep factor to it and kind of pays tribute to old slasher horror in general. This is a nice little movie in which you can lose yourself in for 80plus minutes, as plenty of gore and like the title is creepy.

On release it received bad press from certain critics, due to the fact it received, “National Lottery Funding.” Personally those critics always seem to criticise horror movies… If you are one of those critics, here’s some advice… If it wasn’t for horror movies we would be a more naive society, they make us aware of what horror there is in the world, the monsters within the crazed people that we are unfortunate to share the planet with.

Therefore they can only be a good thing.
