All 20 fighters, including main event opponents Alvaro “Chango” Herrera (9-6) and Ignacio “Levium Armorum” Capella (5-1), came face to face today at the weigh-in for tomorrow’s Combate Americas “Mexico vs. Spain” Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event, live on television in the U.S. in Spanish on Univision (12 a.m. ET/PT) and UDN (12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT) and in the U.S. and Canada in English on DAZN (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT) from the historic Arena Coliseo in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mex.

The weigh-in event was also streamed live via Facebook Watch.

Herrera and Capella will square off at a catchweight of 157 pounds, after they weighed in 156.8 pounds and 157.5 pounds, respectively, for their matchup that was originally slated to be contested at lightweight (155 pounds).

Bantamweight (135 pounds) co-main event opponents Victor “Periquito” Hugo Madrigal (7-2) of Guadalajara and Zebenzui “El Niño Roca” Ruiz (7-2) of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain weighed in at 135.9 pounds and 135.7 pounds respectively.

Featured lightweight (155 pounds) bout opponents Alejandro “Pato” Martinez (4-2) of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mex. and Erick “The Ghost Pepper” Gonzalez (8-3) of Redondo Beach, Calif., USA tipped the scales at 155.2 pounds and 155.8 pounds respectively.

In the women’s atomweight (105 pounds) clash, Alitzel Mariscal (1-0) of Guadalajara came in at 106.7 pounds, .7 pounds over the contractual limit of her scheduled atomweight (105 pounds, plus 1-pound allowance) while her opponent, 12-time Spanish national judo champion Vanessa “Chiquinta” Rico (3-4) of Alicante, Spain weighed in at 105.6 pounds.

Mariscal will forfeit 25 percent of her purse to Rico as a result of missing weight.

The other scheduled women’s bout – the matchup between undefeated Paulina Vargas (3-0) of San Jose De Gracia, Michoacan, Mex., and Erendira “Aketzaly” Ordoñez (2-2) of Mexico City, Mex. – will be contested at a catchweight of 123 pounds, instead of the original catchweight of 120 pounds, after Ordonez weighed in at 123.5 pounds. Vargas easily made weight, clocking in at 118.9 pounds.

Ordoñez will forfeit 20 percent of her purse to Vargas as a result of missing weight.

Heavyweight (206+ lbs.): Alejandro Solorzano (265.6 lbs.) vs. Jaime Arevalo (265.7 lbs.)

Flyweight (125 lbs.): Axel Osuna (125.4 lbs.) vs. Bosco Boyer (124.9 lbs.)

Lightweight (155 lbs.): Eric Garibay (154.4 lbs.) vs. Ulises “La Roca” Palomares (155.8 lbs.)
