King of Cups
The King of Cups represents masculinity, authority and the meeting of emotionality and pragmatism. He is caring, loving, compassionate and honest. He is bound by diplomacy and a kind, sympathetic justice. He isn’t often compelled by matters of revenge. When one does cause conflict in his life, he first looks inward at himself, before casting judgment upon others.

The King is wonderfully complex as within him resides the wisdom of mystical matters and the knowledge of earthly instinct. This allows him to express a soft and understanding side while sharing his worldly intellect with those eager to listen.
He’s resilient, intelligent and calm. Though his manner spawns positive energy from those who admire his tenacity and will, negative and destructive forces also find a way into his life.
Currently, it is those closest that are pushing their defeatist and pessimistic thoughts upon you. Either by unsolicited and undeserved criticisms or by inflicting pain via neglect, you are often faced with turmoil and baggage that you did NOT cause and had zero influence in creating.
Your intellectual side often tries to rationalize the motives of those acting out, but it is a fruitless endeavor, as the reason matters not. The actions and reactions toward you are plainly wrong and cruel. Herein lays your Achilles heel. You may find yourself asking, “What can I do differently?” or “How can I fix things?” but this isn’t your battle and you definitely didn’t start this war. You did NOTHING to bring this on and can’t fix it. You are a sane individual in an insane situation, doing the best you can – and believe it or not, you are doing marvelous! Kudos! Kudos! Kudos!
It is your love of life, your concern and your tender-heartedness that compels the rejected and lost feelings that emerge when faced with such unfair treatment. Despite the wealth of brilliance and understanding of human nature that resides within your mind, you are too emotionally involved. You are often cruelly pushed into a sense of self-doubt by those who take advantage and force you to absorb their negativity. Even worse, is that you then judge yourself for feeling badly. Once again, it is NOT your fault. Energy vampires and dismissive loved ones have put you into a spot where sometimes you just can’t win. You would have to be heartless not to feel badly after the way you were treated – and the one thing you are NOT is heartless.
That said, no one can keep you down. You always bounce back beautifully and keep going strong. You also know you have some strong and equally tenacious people in your corner ready to fight the fight with you.
Regardless of how one may try, they cannot keep you from success and love as you already have those in abundance. They may make you momentarily forget how much joy those qualities bring, but your angels and spirit guides have put people in place to remind you of not only the love you have, but also how significant, unique and astounding you truly are.
Listen to the positive and honest words said by your allies, and allow that good to drown out the bad. That isn’t to say you’ll feel better immediately, but it will happen. Rest assured, the darkest hour is just before dawn – and your sun is rising.
One last thing, those that are being thoughtless and self-involved do love you. They do want you around, but are lost themselves. They are not as emotionally mature as you are. You have the heart of a million men living inside of you and a level of human understanding that few others ever attain. You feel everything raw and real. That combined with your intellectualism makes you the amazing individual you are, but it also can be detrimental when faced with forces that lack those same innate qualities.
