As expected, it was easy money for the WBA/WBA super middleweight champion, Canelo Alvarez, 55-1-2, 37 KO’s, as he easily beat down Avni Yildirim, 21-3, 12 KO’s, forcing him into submission after the third round.
In the first and second round, Alvarez picked his shots as Yildirim just played defense. In the third round, a right hand put Yildirim down. He got up and took more punishment and then quit after the round was over. It was just a mismatch.
