Alberto Machado, 21-1, 17 KO’s, blitzed challenger, Yuandale Evans, 20-2, 14 KO’s, and knocked him down very quickly in the first round with a one-two combo. The straight left hand hurt him badly. He got up and gave his corner that look that he was hurt and already confused. Machado came at him again and knocked him down again, but Evans got up again.
The third and final knockdown was brutal. A huge right hook knocked him cold. This was a very impressive win for Machado.
