Archie Sharp, 17-0, 9 KO’s, had a lot of trouble in the early rounds with Declan Geraghty, 19-5, 4 KO’s, but found a beautiful left hook that ended the fight in quick and spectacular fashion. In the first three rounds, Geraghty used his reach and movement to land and not get hit. Sharp was visibly frustrated and could not find the mark, but made a change in approach and began holding his hands high and cutting off the ring. The pressure created openings and Sharp began finding the mark.

In the fourth round, the distance that Sharp closed made all the difference. A left hook from the southpaw stance caught Geraghty from a strange angle and would knock him cold. The referee waved it off immediately. It was a good win for Sharp as he solved the puzzle placed in front of him. Geraghty did very well and dominated early, but could not adjust to the adjustment made by Sharp, leading to the explosive KO.
