This Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan is bringing in a mystery opponent for Isiah Kassidy in a Face of the Revolution qualifying match and has been very vocal that it will be a pretty big deal. A lot of speculation is going on.
Some have said Triple H, Bray Wyatt and even Shane McMahon, but I think all three can be ruled out. Considering it’s a ladder match and the easy transition to AEW with his brother Matt Hardy there, Jeff Hardy is the best bet.
Matt Hardy has been stale since the departure of the Broken gimmick and a reunion with Jeff Hardy would not only introduce a great asset to AEW, but would bring a killer tag team that could win the titles and potentially give the Broken gimmick another shot. The Covid-19 impact really hurt Hardy and his run in AEW and there’s a second chance here for it to work.
I might be wrong, but I’m 99% sure that we will see Jeff Hardy debut in a couple days and that will rattle the entire Matt Hardy Brand thing that’s going on and we will finally see some clarity and progress with the Matt Hardy character in AEW.
