Action-paced, international intrigue ensues when a Swiss bank president hires an American investigator to ferret out a group of blackmailers who have been terrorizing his clients in The Swiss Conspiracy, available Feb. 20 in a special collector’s edition on Blu-ray and DVD from Film Masters.

Scanned in 4K from original 35mm archival elements, The Swiss Conspiracy has never seen a high-quality release to date. Film Masters has enlisted colorist and restoration expert Marc Wielage to painstakingly bring back vibrant and original colors that have not been seen since this film made its original debut in 1976.

Shot entirely in and around Zurich, The Swiss Conspiracy, based on the hit novel by Michael Stanley, was directed by Jack Arnold, best known for B horror/cult movie classics such as The Incredible Shrinking ManTarantulaCreature from the Black Lagoon, It Came from Outer Space and The Tattered Dress. One of the best directors of science-fiction feature films, Arnold was also known for directing multiple hit television series such as Gilligan’s IslandMod SquadWonder Woman and The Love Boat.

In The Swiss Conspiracy … A Swiss bank president hires a former U.S. Justice Department official to ferret out a group of blackmailers who have learned the identity of five, anonymous numbered account holders, including a Chicago mob figure who is also being pursued by American gangsters. Investigator David Christopher (David Janssen, best known as Dr. Richard Kimble in the hit ‘60s series The Fugitive) identifies four potential suspects, including the bank vice-president’s mistress, Rita (the German-born temptress of the ‘60s, Elke Sommer). Adding to the intrigue are the suspicions of the Swiss Federal Police which complicates the investigation. When the bank pays the chief blackmailer in uncut diamonds, the ransom rendezvous results in a dramatic showdown in the snow-covered Alps and a shocking revelation. Also starring John SaxonJohn IrelandSenta Berger, David Hess and Ray Milland.

The Swiss Conspiracy is presented with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Discs are region free and include English SDH.  Audio is DTS-HD/Dolby AC3s.
