A special Thursday night episode of AEW Dynamite starts with Chris Jericho coming out to do commentary and is met with the crowd singing Judas.  Yes, there is a live audience tonight and it is great to see them back again.  They are at 10% capacity for fans, but they have fans.

We have a gauntlet match, starting with the Young Bucks taking on the Natural Nightmares with the winners going on to take on Best Friends in the next round.  The winner of this gauntlet match will go on to take on Hangman Page and Kenny Omega at ALL OUT for the gold.

The Young Bucks are using their speed to control the majority of the action and we do get that great spot where Dustin asks for a break because he’s old.  It’s really funny.

In a relatively short match, the Bucks get the win over QT Marshall and the Best Friends immediately come down to take on the Bucks.  The strength of the Best Friends is immediately a factor, but the speed of the Bucks is making this a relatively even match.    The winner goes on to take on FTR in the finals.

I love the commentary of Chris Jericho.  It’s right up there with Bobby Heenan.  He works so well with Tony Schiavone and Jim Ross.  At one point, Jericho refuses to give Schiavone a hug even though he didn’t ask for one.  Great stuff.

The Best Friends are really battering the Bucks.  This match is brutal and whoever wins will be pretty spent as they go into the match with FTR.

In a SHOCKER, Hangman Page interfered and the Best Friends get the 1-2-3 count.  Page walked away, conflicted.  This has to do with his friendship with FTR, I’m sure and the potential new Four Horsemen.  FTR comes down with Tully Blanchard to take on the Best Friends.

FTR is controlling with their ground game and there is still that confusion in the air after the Page move.  Under the guidance of Blanchard, FTR has become more vicious.  They are using all the heel tactics that Blanchard was known for in his tag team days.

After a consistent attack on Chuck Taylor, they get a submission win in quick fashion and the shot at the tag team titles at ALL OUT.
