The HBO hit series HIS DARK MATERIALS: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON is now on Blu-Ray and DVD from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. This season is referred to as “Their Final Fate” and it is as the characters face their destiny in this amazing series that seems more cinematic than a series.
Based on books, the show gives plenty of fan service, spanning different universes and focusing on the storylines and character development. At times, the show will lean on the relationships between characters and the amazing settings fade into the background as the focus of the viewer can only be on the dialogue that is going on.
The show has no reservations about giving an ending, happy or sad, to the viewer. This season and ending really gives the audience a payoff that most will enjoy and the gray area with some of the characters is interesting. The motives are sound across the board and the lines get blurred. It’s very easy to get attached to the characters on both sides of the conflict.
HIS DARK MATERIALS: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON is done so well and presented in a cinematic way. I had a great time watching this and recommend it.
