Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is releasing THE FLASH: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON on Blu-ray & DVD with all 22 episodes and I had a chance to check it out and it turned out to be quite an addicting show. It was a nice Sunday binge watch.
THE FLASH is a different sort of superhero show, based in the Arrowverse, spinning off of that series. Barry Allen/Flash runs into some interesting situations in the fifth season, including his future daughter, time traveling and meeting up with her parents. The time traveling element to the series is very compelling and adds new layers and new directions where the show can go.
The Flash has a lot of enemies, most notably Cicada, to battle this season and there are some fun twists and turns and cliffhangers as the show progresses. Another interesting battle was the altercations with Silver Ghost, a nearly unbeatable foe that has plenty of toys to give Flash a hard time.
The series gets you prepared for the sixth season as Barry is exposed, combining with all of the other issues the Flash has, making the viewer want more, and I was the viewer and I wanted to see how it went.
THE FLASH: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON is great fun. It is a very clever show that is shot incredibly well. The fast shots and the consistent action, mixed with the good writing and character development, makes this a must see. I really enjoyed it!
