Super welterweight, Travell Mazion, 15-0, 12 KO’s, went the full 8 rounds to take a wide unanimous decision over the game Jeremy Ramos, 11-7, 4 KO’s, by the scores of 80-71 and 78-73 (twice).
In the first round, a left hook on the temple would drop Ramos. He went back to his corner on wobbly legs, but he recouped and tried to find openings on the taller Mazion, but he just didn’t have the power to concern him. The fight was controlled by Mazion and his long jab, but he allowed Ramos to open up to see if he could counter and it mostly worked.
In the end, the result was not in question, but Ramos tried very hard and was tough, but the talent gap was far too wide.
