Former IBF heavyweight champion, Charles Martin, 26-2-1, 23 KO’s, got back on the winning track with a dominant performance over Gregory Corbin, 15-1, 9 KO’s. From the opening bell, Martin was more active and landed the harder shots while Corbin just plodded ahead without throwing much. When he did throw, much of his shots would land very low, leading to three point deductions before a disqualification in round 8.
Martin held the IBF title but lost it quickly to Anthony Joshua. He recently lost to Polish heavyweight Adam Kownacki, but this rebound win puts him right back into the mix. He looked really good in this fight even though his opponent didn’t do a lot outside of foul.
