2019 Horror Films Bordering On Slashers

Geno

The movie industry isn’t quite what it used to be. Sure, the graphics are better, more enhanced thanks to modern technology and the CGI has been improved over the years, but the storylines are weaker than the collectable slasher movies we are so used to. That was up until recently. You see, 2019 has changed the industry and we believe movie script writers have caught on that horror fans are missing out on better scripts. Maybe directors and writers caught wind of NoviBet and found themselves suck in an Alice in Wonderland tale, if so can’t say we blame them, or something must have been distracting them. But then 2019 rolled in and something must have given because this year has released some pretty impressive horrors and we have the list right here. Check out which movies are bordering on slashers so far.

3 From Hell

If anyone is familiar with Rob Zombie’s work, they will know this release is bound to be as gruesome as any of his previous films but highly intriguing as per usual. The expected release is in September between the 16th and the 18th and it’s bound to be one frightful release. The plot revolves around stark raving mad killers from Devil’s Rejects. Described as murder, madness and mayhem, the trailer looks as chilling as the cover poster and it’s bound to disturb those not easily disturbed by blood and gore.

Escape Room

Another classic movie with a great storyline is Escape Room which was released on the 4th of January 2019. The suspense horror features a number of great visual effects to leave you wondering whether or not something like this has already happened somewhere in the real world. The movie finds itself based on a theme where 6 strangers need to get from one room to the next using their wits to survive a twisted game. But will there be a survivor? Watch the movie to get the thrilling answer.

Halloween at Aunt Ethel’s

This is more of a dramatized dark comedy horror which was released in the beginning of 2019. The name suggests the theme of the movie and although there is a comic twist, the movie has been categorized as a slasher courtesy of all the graphic effects.

Pet Sematary

Needless to mention the origins of this one, however if you didn’t already know, this is a remake of Stephen King’s horror novel and movie. Bring back all the dead animals and you have your evil filled movie.

Us

We had to mention this one because of its fantastic storyline. The tale is unpredictable, eerie and horrifying in its own right. Follow a family through a torturous night of survival and await the twist in the plot.

With so many great movies being released, we have to wonder what 2020 will have in store for us and if there will be any slasher titles to add to the collection of some of the best. So far the movie industry has picked up some great horror titles, now let’s see if they can deliver more!
