AIDA FOLCH WILL DELVE INTO MYTHOLOGICAL FANTASY AND HORROR IN ‘HIDDEN DEVIL’.
The actress Aida Folch, Goya nominated for “The artist and the model”, will participate in “Hidden Devil”, that will be filmed next year.
The first works of the famous actress from Reus (Spain) were “The Shanghai Gesture” by Fernando Trueba, and “Mondays in the Sun” by Fernando León de Aranoa. She has also participated in series as “Aquitaine”, “The lives of Celia” or “Tell me how it happened”, where she played the popular character of Françoise. Her acting work also extends to foreign films like the german blockbuster “Henri 4”, or the mexican work “My universe in lowercase”. Aida Folch also starred “The artist and the model”, by Fernando Trueba, in which she worked with Jean Rochefort and Claudia Cardinale, that implied her Goya nomination for best actress in a main character. Later, she filmed with Imanol Arias the serie based on the life of Vicente Ferrer.
This time, Aida Folch will change her acting style to take part of a story of fantasy and horror in which she’ll play the queen of an ancient world in “Hidden Devil”, an ambitious short film to be shot next year in Spain. The incorporation of Aida Folch completes the cast of this project, in which also are involved Javier Botet (“REC”, “Mama”), Javier Bódalo (“The Devil’s Backbone”, “Ghost Promotion”) and the dubber Pepe Mediavilla, known as Morgan Freeman’s Spanish voice and the Spanish voice of the character of Gandalf from the saga “The lord of the rings” and “The hobbit”.
“Hidden Devil”, directed by Fran Mateu and produced by Cafetico Films S.L., will use animation techniques and real action in a plot of fantasy, horror and mythology. The team of “Hidden Devil” has also announced that after the summer will start a crowdfunding campaing in which the public will be able to be part of the experience of this project.
