Gregory Hall is a comic, a podcaster, a writer and an all-around funny guy who has created a book of 22 short stories that will entertain you for hours. Some are horror, some are strange and some are just plain funny. “Werepig Fever” is an eclectic collection of stories, a mixed bag, so you never know what you’re going to get. Stories of Giant Babies taking over the world, mad scientists, vampires and more. There is never a dull moment. Many of the stories are reminiscent of tales we told as kids around a campfire.
The first story called “Chalky White” is just such a story. A short read about an imaginary monster named Chalky White that kills people. Or is he imaginary? You be the judge. “Beautiful Shoes” is a tale of an intelligent scientist and his very smart son who lives in a world full of ignorant people bent on power and destruction. Not so far off base from our real world actually. He creates wonderful inventions, but the people are not intelligent enough to use them for good, so try to take them over for evil purposes. “The Children” is a very quick story with a very surprise ending, my favorite in the book. Most of the shorts have surprise endings which is really cool.

Hall has taken his skill of improv and comedy and written a wonderfully entertaining book. “Werepig Fever” is available in hardcover, paperback and e-book.
The bottom line is, if you like quick reads with surprise finishes you will love Gregory Hall’s “Werepig Fever”.
