UFOS Do Not Exist (2010)

I really enjoy UFO documentaries and you typically get two sorts. One, you get the extremely boring, dismissive type, and then you get the sensationalistic garbage that is there strictly to entertain and then there are documentaries like: UFOS DO NOT EXIST: “The Grand Deception and Cover Up of the UFO Phenomenon.” It is a mixture of both sorts, leading to an incredibly entertaining watch, presented well and supported with some compelling evidence.

The film begins with the filmmaker speaking of his time in high school and starting a UFO after school club that took off and launched him deep into the world of aliens and the phenomenon of flying saucers. The explanation from the government is debated, covering the most famous UFO case, the Roswell crash, and some very good points are made.

The German technology and rumors that they had “Nazi Saucers” is explored, the “Foo Fighters” sighted in WWII, along with many more strange occurrences around that time. The argument of stolen alien technology is very compelling and, if nothing else, this documentary keeps you glued to the screen with its theories and supporting evidence.

Jackie Gleason was good friends with Richard Nixon and met with the filmmaker, according to the documentary, and a very interesting story was told involving crashed saucer parts and dead alien bodies.

The part of the film that I most enjoyed was the time travel theories, starting with the Philadelphia Experiment and building on that, giving new information that supports the theory that the government was able to travel through time. One very interesting claim is that a military plane traveled from the 1960s to the 1980s and one of the passengers was killed and left over twenty years in the future.

UFOS Do Not Exist is a fantastic documentary. Despite it being 2 hours long, it seemed short. It was that interesting. I cannot recommend this enough. I loved it.

Scared Stiff Rating: 8/10. Phenomenal
