The WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, 30-0-1, 21 KO’s, and WBA, WBO, IBF champion, Anthony Joshua, 24-1, 22 KO’s, have agreed to terms for a unification fight. Fury was set to face former WBC champion, Deontay Wilder, but that bout has evaporated over the claims of cheating from Wilder.
Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Fury and Joshua both want the fight and that the cut of the money has been agreed. This is big news for heavyweight boxing and for the boxing fans in the UK as the title will be decided by two Brits.
Stay tuned for more developments as they come in.
