Film Masters are doing the world of film a great service by bringing back classics in the best possible way with the best presentation.   The 1960 Bert I. Gordon film TORMENTED is back and back in a big way and when they note that this is a “special edition” they absolutely mean it.

Gordon, the man behind the great film THE FOOD OF THE GODS understands how to pace a film and how to generate an atmosphere that brings a level of unease to the viewer.   I had not seen TORMENTED until I saw it from Film Masters, but I’m happy that they brought it back and paid close attention to detail.  This film looked great and sounded great.  They restored it in 4K from the original 35MM elements and it is a legit restoration.  It’s done well.

The movie itself it a thriller that starts off slow but picks up the pace and gets to a point where it’s really intense.  There is mystery and some paranormal activity that was quite a lot of fun.  I really enjoyed this film and if you are a collector, this is a perfect addition to your collection.  I highly recommend it.
