Combate Americas returned to McAllen, Texas, to celebrate the most important fight of the year, where former UFC champion Tito Ortiz faced former WWE champion Alberto “El Patrón” Rodríguez, with 10 electrifying Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights.
The main event battle saw Tito Ortiz (21-12-2) as the winner, who managed to submit his opponent Alberto Rodriguez (9-6) with a Rear Naked Choke, at 3:10 of the first round.
In the co-headliner, Melissa “Super Mely” Martinez (7-0) became the first ever female strawweight champion of Combate Americas after defeating U.S. Desiree “Dirty Dez” Yanez (5-2) by split decision.
