Horror Dadz Productions unleashes a defiant new voice in summer horror with THE SUMMER WE DIED, the latest from acclaimed indie director Dillon Brown, now streaming on Amazon Prime and Fawesome, and premiering June 7th on Kings of Horror’s YouTube Channel.

Written and directed by Brown—best known for the found footage cult hit Tahoe Joe—this slasher with soul is soaked in skater punk attitude, glittering summer heat, and a bold visual style that nods to the early works of Larry Clark and Harmony Korine. At its core, The Summer We Died is a fierce and stylish story about the power of friendship, teenage defiance, and refusing to let fear steal your freedom.

In the wake of a string of brutal nighttime killings by a mysterious figure known only as The Moonlight Killer, a sleepy suburban town enforces a strict summer curfew. But for a tight-knit crew of rebellious girls, led by fearless performances from Hannah Welty, Amanda Morgan, and Grace Winters, that curfew might as well be a death sentence for their summer dreams.

Refusing to be caged by fear or authority, the girls strap on their boards and sneak into the night—only to find that the killer in the shadows may be closer than they ever imagined. Also starring Michael Rock and John Potash, the film blends raw emotion, brutal kills, and sun-drenched skate culture into a blood-soaked scream for freedom.

“It’s ‘Saved by the Bell’ meets an 80s slasher—with teeth,” says Brown. “It’s about being young, reckless, angry… and alive.”

Already gaining traction with horror fans and skater punks alike, The Summer We Died is a gritty, glittering, and blood-soaked love letter to youth on the edge.

Watch it now on Amazon Prime and Fawesome. Catch it free on Kings of Horror June 7th.
