I went into this film fully aware of some of the negative reviews it had gotten, but seeing Michael Keaton resume his role as Batman had me pretty stoked. The film looks fantastic. This is presented in an epic way and watching it and the continued action sequences, I really enjoyed it.
The Flash as a superhero is a lot of fun and he decides to use his powers for a somewhat personal reason. In this trend of multiverses coming into play, here we go again and I welcome it. This is fan service at its best. Barry (The Flash) goes back in time and it opens a big can of worms and heroes and villains of different times and different timelines return and the pieces have to be put back together.
Although I’m not a huge fan of the 1989 BATMAN movie, I’m not immune to nostalgia and really enjoyed seeing Keaton come back. Seeing the many moving parts of this film working together was done very well. We also get the return of General Zod and so many superhero cameos. This film is a celebration of DC and its long history. It leaves almost no stone unturned.
I really enjoyed this film. It was such a fun time. The 4K/Blu-Ray release has so much bonus material to enjoy as well. I highly recommend this one for everyone that grew up watching DC superhero television and films. The film really tries to deliver something for everyone and is succeeds.
