I’ve always been a fan of Superman and have liked the majority of the films that have come out concerning the man of steel. After seeing THE DEATH & RETURN OF SUPERMAN FILMS, I can honestly say that they got it as right as I’ve seen. This is the Superman that the fans have waited for and it features a great cast, including Jerry O’Connell, Rebecca Romijn and Rainn Wilson.

Superman faces the biggest challenge in Doomsday and it’s an epic battle. As much fun as it is to watch Lex Luthor attempts to outsmart him, an unstoppable monster that can throw around the man of steel with ease is very compelling. With Superman being unbeatable by human standards, seeing an outside force come in to take him on is always fun and defeat him made it even better. The animations are great in this as well and it’s built on good writing and story-telling.

The film is loaded with the DC Universe characters and you see just how they look at Superman for guidance. Without that leadership, the team is lost and with Superman out of the picture, it attracts more bad guys to come and take over the planet. The chaos and destruction lead to desperation and, as the title suggests, a return of the man of steel to save the day.

This is just an amazing epic of a film that will make any superhero fan satisfied. The story-telling, writing and animation are so well done. I highly recommend it.
