Fightstars.tv, one of the fastest-emerging boxing-media companies in the world, and their Director of Female Boxing Operations, Rick Ramos, are proud to announce the signing of former two-time USA National Champion and undefeated professional welterweight Summer Lynn to a promotional contract.

A native of Chicago, Lynn (6-0, 3 KOs) was also a Silver Gloves and Junior Olympics champion before turning professional in late 2019. Blessed with an aggressive and unrelenting fan-friendly fighting style, in her most recent ring appearance, Lynn picked up the Universal Boxing Organization World Female Welterweight Championship with a unanimous decision over then 4-2 Brenda Gonzales in August of last year.

“I’m really happy about this opportunity,” said Lynn of the signing. “I look at it as a chance to bring awareness to the sport I love.”

20-year-old Lynn, who started boxing for Ramos as a youngster and has remained under his tutelage throughout her amateur and professional careers, says signing with Fightstars.tv and Ramos was an easy decision, given their close relationship.

I trust Rick with my life, so signing with him and Fightstars.tv was never a question,” Lynn explained. “Rick brought me to Vegas to meet (Fightstars CEO) Patrick Oakes and his team and they watched me spar and agreed to signing me right away.”

“I’m proud to make Summer a member of the Fightstars.tv Team,” said Ramos. The long-time owner of Bodyshot Boxing Club in Chicago, Ramos first rose to prominence in the female boxing world with his expert handling of two-weight female world champion Jessica McCaskill, which led to him being named 2019 and 2021 “Coach/Manager of the Year” for females by The Ring Magazine.

“I’ve been training Summer since she was 11 years old,” Ramos continued. “She has been sparring with Jessica McCaskill since she was 12 years old. She is ready for this. I’m excited to see where her career goes!”

Fightstars.tv CEO Patrick Oakes says Lynn is the exact type of fighter he and Ramos envisioned when planning the concept for their all-female boxing stable.

“Summer is an excellent ambassador for the sport of female boxing,” said Oakes. “She’s an intelligent and pleasant person who avoids conflict outside the ring, but her competitive side takes over when she fights. She’s got an uncommon style for females, in that she likes to go right at her opponents and force them to fight her fight. The fans are going to love her!”

“Rick always said I have more of a pro style,” agreed Lynn. “When I’m in the ring, I want you out of there as soon as possible. I like to get in and get out. I can box when I need to, but I love to mix it up and trade. I don’t want to run around the ring. I want to stand in the middle of the ring and fight.”
