I got this movie in a 50 pack of horror flicks for only 15 bucks. You can’t beat that with a stick. Anyway, this movie, which was originally released as “Fleisch,” begins with a newlywed couple enjoying each other and looking for a hotel to enjoy each other even more. They look for the best deal and come across “The Honeymoon Inn,” which was a remarkable $7.50 a night with free coffee included. The woman that runs the joint seems a little too nice, and nosy, but the couple continues their time together anyway.
The next morning, the two lovebirds decide to take a walk behind this hotel. As they hug and kiss, an ambulance approaches, and two men run out. They abduct the husband at gunpoint, but fail to get the wife, who runs for her life and hides. She eventually meets up with a truck driver, and they decide to uncover the mystery of the ambulance, and the Honeymoon Inn.
The story begins to unfold and the sinister plot is revealed. A twisted hospital is killing perfectly healthy people for their organs, and the Honeymoon Inn is one of many locations that are cooperating with “Dr. Jackson,” the person running this show. Now the film is fantastic for about forty minutes, but then it fizzles and dies, leaving the viewer unsatisfied.
Overall, this movie is not bad. I liked it up until the last third of it, where they kind of ran out of ideas and didn’t really know what to do to wrap it up. This is a movie that had a lot of suspense early, an interesting premise, and some creepy moments, but the ending blew, and just was disappointing when the show was over.
