An 8 round middleweight bout makes up the co-main event tonight. Shane Mosley, JR., 16-3, 9 KO’s, takes on Jeremy Ramos, 11-9, 4 KO’s.
Ramos doesn’t appear to be in good shape and the body work from Mosley is an immediate factor. Ramos begins to breathe heavily in round 3 and Mosley continues the pursuit and attack with Ramos punching back here and there.
Round seven was a very good round for Mosley as he controlled the action and began to administer the punishment to the very tired opponent. In round eight, Mosley did some good body work that hurt Ramos even more. Mosley basically went through the motions and did enough to win this one.
When the dust settled, the judges saw it unanimously for Mosley by scores of 79-73, 80-72 and 80-72.
