So the Umbrella cooperation… In this blockbuster movie is the largest cooperation within the USA to produce computer, medical and viral weaponry… The secret lab below Racoon city, named, “The Hive” where it seems a thief steals the genetic engineered, T virus in order to expose the Umbrella cooperation to the world, with their unethical practices. Though one of the samples are dropped and breaks, leaking the, T virus. The Hive, as its own control mechanism, known as the, red Queen, she causes a computer lockdown, the staff becoming trapped within the facility, destination death…

Alice (Milla Jovovich) wakes within the shower, of a mansion above, the Hive, confused and wondering how she got there, moments later being grabbed by a man, Matt Addison (Eric Mabius). A breath of air later, an outfit of commandos arrive, their mission to enter, the Hive, shut down the power and discover what the hell has happened…

However what they failed to take in to consideration being, that this is not what the computer has in mind…

Part of the commandos are soon wiped out by the computer and its laser rays, leaving Alice, Matt Addison, and Kaplan (Martin Crewes) the computer wizard of the commandos, with a few others to complete the mission…

The computer projects an image, being, a little girl, she warns them not to venture down deep in to, the Hive and not to release the mechanism that keeps the doors sealed, Kaplan ignores her…

And on heading deeper in to, the Hive, not only are there human zombies to deal with and zombified dogs, but a mutation named, the Licker, not forgetting the forever watchful eyes of the Red Queen.

And as for the ending, a showdown upon a train, Alice with her surprising energetic skills against the Licker…

This movie is cleverly written, well thought out and as a few twists and turns along the way, as it becomes apparent who stole the, T Virus and the fact there is also an anti virus…
The movie is also creepy, edgy and sure takes the zombie genre to another level, yes science fiction meets the zombie genre with a huge bang…

It leaves me to say, well done to, Paul W S Anderson for exploiting the success of the computer game and turning it in to a very successful movie franchise. And just one final note from me, I have to admit I don’t know anything about the game, as I am not a gamer, so please excuse me there for my ignorance…
