The Professional Fighters League today announced the launch of a new weekly MMA original content series, MMA at Home, powered by Geico. Every Friday, PFL president and combat sports veteran Ray Sefo will introduce a foundational move in MMA and a PFL fighter who excels at it. They will then challenge fans at home to replicate the move for a chance to win PFL swag. The series premieres at 12:00pm ET on PFL’s YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook channels, and featured PFL welterweight Sadibou Sy and his patented head kick.
“We’re excited to launch this new content series and engage with our fans who are at home during this challenging time,” said Ray Sefo, President, Professional Fighters League. “It’s an opportunity to learn from the best in the business, have fun and win some great PFL prizes. The phrase ‘don’t try this at home’ does not apply here.”
Sadibou Sy, affectionately known as the “Swedish Denzel”, reached the 2019 PFL Playoffs where he was defeated by eventual PFL welterweight champion Ray Cooper III. Sadibou etched his name in the PFL record books at PFL 1, recording the second fastest stoppage in league history, a knockout of 2019 PFL welterweight runner-up David Michaud just 17-seconds into the first round.
Fans can submit their video using #MMAatHome and tag @PFLmma @GEICO for a chance to win. The winner of the first MMA at Home challenge will be announced on Thursday, April 23rd.
Professional Fighters League is the first organization ever to present MMA through a Regular Season, Playoffs and Championship format and award one million dollars to each of the six division champions.
