(Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own.)
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment releases DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON on September 24th, bringing all 16 episodes, a gag reel, deleted scenes and more. The DC TV adaptation shows are about as good as it gets and much like ARROW, THE FLASH and SUPERGIRL, we get the same quality and intense story-telling here.
I’m a huge fan of time travel and this series is heavily involved in it. At one point, the group heads to the Salem witch trial to deal with a creature that has been causing some issues. The look and feel of the show is great and the constantly changing location and time of the episodes keeps it fresh and entertaining. This is definitely a different sort of superhero show.
I kept thinking about the show SLIDERS as I watched this and I loved SLIDERS. As much as I love SUPERGIRL, THE FLASH and ARROW, I found this series to be more interesting and surprising. We do get cameos from other superheroes along the way and we get a good idea of how the DC universe works. I highly recommend this show and season four was just tremendous.
