Middleweight Nikita Ababiy, 2-0, 2 KO’s, scored his second first round knockout in a row over Javier Rodriguez, 3-7-1, 2 KO’s. Ababiy followed Rodriguez around the ring and caught him with a strong right hand that surprised him and dropped him. He got up on wobbly legs, but was able to continue. He began moving again but White Chocolate wouldn’t let him off the hook. A left to the body made Rodriguez grimace and cover up. A barrage of unanswered punches led the referee to stop the bout. Ababiy is being groomed to be a star and so far, so good.
