Ithaca, NY-based emo pop punk band Maple Hill has released their new single “Fading” in partnership with Common Ground Collective today. The music video for the song premiered yesterday via Soft Sound Press, which you can watch now here. The band also announced their new EP ‘Parallel’ will be released on March 5th. Fans can preorder the EP here!

Regarding their new single, the band reveals, “The song is about the decline of a friendship or a relationship, when you’re growing apart and you can physically feel the distance there, but no one has really talked about it. You can sense that things are different and changing fast. There is a desperation in not understanding that disconnect, and this song asks some of the questions that arise in those moments.”

Maple Hill is an emo pop punk band from Ithaca, NY comprised of members Joel Beckwith (Bass), St. John Faulkner (Drums), Jordan Kulp (Guitar), and Kristian Wood-Gaiger (Vocals/Guitar). In 2016, they independently released their debut album Headspace, which was recorded with Ryan Ellery at The Panda Studios in Bay Area, CA. Since then, the band has been featured/mentioned by various outlets such as PureVolume, New Noise Magazine, Idobi Radio, Alternative Press, and more. Carrying a determined DIY ethic, they have begun cultivating a growing following by booking multiple runs of the Northeast and Midwest, and sharing the road/stage with bands like Belmont, Such Gold, The Stolen, The Weekend Classic, and more along the way. In 2020, the band partnered with Los Angeles-based artist development company Common Ground Collective for the release of their new EP ‘Parallel’, which was mixed by Jon Lundin at Pastel Recording Co. in Los Angeles.
