Warner Bros. Discovery has just released Max Fleischer’s Superman 1941-1943 on Blu-ray and Digital, featuring 17 animated Superman shorts from the original 35mm film.  Watching these was quite an experience and much different than what I’m used to when it comes to the man of steel.

Superman faces unusual villains like mad scientists and natural disasters and the pacing is quick and fun.  It was the building blocks of the character and you can watch it evolve and the presentation is great. It’s really amazing how well these were brought back to life considering just how hold they are.

If you are fan of Superman, this is really a must own. It’s pretty interesting to watch the origins and see the development of the character and just how action-packed these shorts are.  They are a lot of fun and the voice acting is quite good.

Along with the shorts, you get a lot of bonus material.  There was a lot of thought that went into this release.  I highly recommend it.
