Luis Nery, 29-0, 23 KO’s, imposed his strength and power on McJoe Arroyo, 18-3, 8 KO’s, knocking him down in the second, third, and twice and in fourth. The Arroyo corner would not allow their fighter to endure any more punishment and didn’t allow him to come out for the next round.
Arroyo did what he could to throw back to keep Nery off, but he wasn’t strong enough to impact him. Nery just kept coming forward and landing hard shots leading to the knockout. It was very impressive and he is already earning comparisons to Manny Pacquiao.
