Unified lightweight champion, Katie Taylor, 12-0, 5 KO’s, dominated her smaller opponent, Eva Wahlstrom, 22-1-1, 3 KO’s, over the course of ten rounds, gradually picking up the pace and putting strong pressure on her until the final bell. The decision was unanimous and easy to judge with Taylor winning by scores of 100-90 across the board.
Wahlstrom proved gritty and courageous, surviving two bad cuts from head butts, but she didn’t have the strength to compete with the bigger Taylor. It was a good performance for the champ and she can now move on to bigger and better things.
