Middleweight Jeremy Nichols, 9-1-1, 3 KO’s, pummeled the overmatched Jeremiah Page, 3-6, 2 KO’s, knocking him down four times in the first round. Page tried to land his shots and got a couple in, but a right hook in the corner put him down. He got up and was knocked down shortly after. Another right hook would drop him for the third time. He got up, groggy, and with no three knockdown rule in effect, he had the right to continue, even though the referee needed to stop it. A superman punch ended the fight in dramatic fashion. It was highlight reel material.
