Jarrett Hurd, 24-1, 16 KO’s, dominated the smaller Francisco Santana, 25-8-1, 12 KO’s, easily winning a unanimous decision by scores of 97-92 and 99-90 (twice). From the opening bell, Hurd was in full control and easily controlled Santana and probably could have knocked him out at any time. With a new trainer, Hurd seemed focus on using his opponent to test his new tricks. He would knock him down in round 10 but Santana would survive without making much noise in the entire fight. Now Hurd can move on to a real challenge and not a glorified sparring session.
