The Cody Rhodes – Lance Archer TNT title fight is one of the biggest attractions for DOUBLE OR NOTHING on Saturday night and now we see the two representatives of these two wrestlers face to face. One of the best heels ever, Jake “the Snake” Roberts going head to head with Arn Anderson is something that can only be awesome.
Tony Schiavone is conducting the interview. Roberts is immediately smiling at Anderson and it’s amazing and neither has said a word yet. Jake begins. He mentions how Anderson used to walk around with his gang of friends and is now alone. Jake is so good. He notes how Cody has been avoiding Lance Archer and cannot run anymore.
Jake asks if this was Arn’s “weekend pass from the home.” It’s great stuff. Anderson responds and reflects on his long history with Roberts and how evil he is. Jake remarkably challenges Anderson to a fight. Anderson reminds him that this is an interview and brings up that Mike Tyson will be presenting the belts.
Anderson asks Jake if he’s going to mess with Mike Tyson and Jake notes that he will drop Tyson and that Archer wants to do it for fun. Anderson tells a great story and discusses a conversation he had with Cody about his need to win. This is as good as it gets.
Anderson calls himself a vicious prick and then takes a shot at Jake’s DDP yoga, leading to a shoving contest. This is great stuff. AEW treats the legends so well.
