Tommy Fury, 8-0, 4 KO’s, and Jake Paul, 6-0, 4 KO’s, came face to face in the ring to promote their February 26th showdown in Saudi Arabia, and it nearly became physical. During the stare down, the two put their foreheads against each other and began trash-talking. Paul would push his finger into Fury’s face and the two nearly came to blows.
This is the third time that this fight has been put together with Fury pulling out twice before for different reasons. The pullouts have irritated the fans and has given ammunition to Paul to declare that Fury is afraid of him.
Considering the fight is taking place in Saudia Arabia, it’s safe to say that Fury was lured into the fight with the big paycheck that he is sure to earn from this one. Jake Paul won’t be relying as much on the PPV revenue here because Saudi Arabia pays big bucks.
Paul continues to fight for respect in boxing and will probably not find it with a win over Fury because a lot of boxing fans will not accept him as a real fighter. Paul – Fury is a great test for both men and both are very interesting characters. I will be tuning in out of pure curiosity and I’ll probably be putting some money on Paul by KO.
