Jake Paul OWNS Floyd Mayweather JR: The Embarrassing Last Run – Boxing News

There was a time when Floyd Mayweather, JR., 50-0, 27 KO’s, was the biggest name in boxing.  He was able to use clever marketing and opponent choice to change from “Pretty Boy” to “Money Mayweather.”  That time is now gone and he’s having a midlife crisis in the boxing ring.

Jake Paul, 6-1, 4 KO’s, recently had an altercation with Floyd Mayweather, JR., and much of the media is saying that he ran away from Floyd.  This is a partial truth and part of the problem with how the media treats Paul.  He did not run from Mayweather, JR. He ran from Floyd and his group of 15 or so thugs that he had by his side, looking to jump Paul in the streets.   This is because Paul has beaten Floyd handily in recent times.

Recently, there was competing pay per views.   Floyd Mayweather, JR., took on Aaron Chalmers on the same weekend that Jake Paul took on Tommy Fury and it was a quick knockout for the Paul-Fury PPV, getting 500,000 buys compared to Floyd’s PPV buy rate of a reported 12,000.  This was an example of out with the old and in with the new, but there was more to it.  This was the public saying to Floyd that we are not buying your frauds anymore.

When Floyd and Paul came face to face in the street, it was embarrassing and not for the guy that ran away.  Floyd showed his hand.  He showed just how jealous he is and how he cannot handle how far he has fallen.  Mayweather, JR., has called his exhibition bouts “robberies” but there is not going to be any money to rob because nobody will buy them.

There is a possibility that this could lead to a grudge match between the two, but Jake Paul will be calling the shots if it does happen.  He does not need Floyd AT ALL.  It’s the other way around and it’s strange to say.  Considering the long history of success that Floyd has had, he has officially hit rock bottom and has become a joke.

The hatred of Jake Paul from the media continues, but he is a force in the sport and is showing how to promote an event and Floyd cannot handle that fact at all.
