HORROR MOVIE NEWS – The Resolution – Be Part of the Film

Geno

Every writer, filmmaker, actor, actress, editor, composer, producer, director of photography, and make-up artist searches for that ONE project that will launch their career and put their names on the lips of moviegoers across the nation.  For myself and the talented artists that have gathered together in support of my script, The Resolution IS that project.

The Resolution is the first short in a planned horror anthology titled, ‘Twisted Tales of Madness and Murder‘.   We have assembled a stellar cast and crew from all over the Puget Sound.   With the proof of concept trailer in the can, and available for your viewing pleasure on this page, it is now time to turn our attention to raising the $8500.00 needed to film the short in its entirety.

At the helm of this project is the talented director from Adventus Films, Rick Walters.  His impressive knowledge, extensive contacts in the filmmaking community, his attention to detail and organizational talents have all been integral in bringing the proof of concept trailer for The Resolution to life.  Under his leadership, along with our talented cast and crew, and our combined passion for the project, we will deliver a horror film that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Chris Taylor, our director of photography, also from Adventus Films, has an amazing ability to work a camera and light a scene.

David Wesley Phillips, our Editor, is a genius at putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

A good horror movie is nothing without a good special effects artist.  Real looking blood is essential to our set – and Kate Dixson is our talented effects artist.

Where does the money go?

Pre-Production Preparation

Planning the specifics of making the film.  We map out our plan and budget accordingly – making sure not one dollar is wasted.

Shooting (6 days)

With the script broken down, this is the time frame we expect for shooting.

Craft Services

A well fed cast and crew is a productive and happy cast and crew – no matter how many times they get murdered.

Equipment- Camera and Lenses rental, Production Crew, Sound, Set Design, Make-up and Hair, Lighting Crew and Special Effects.

Post-Production

With everything filmed, we then will pass on the footage to our editor.  Working closely with the director and composer, a final masterpiece is created.

Promotion

Between the use of social media and a grassroots style campaign, we will get the word out about The Resolution.   One of our marketing plans is to release a graphic novel of the project, complete with artwork by Tadd Galusha.  Below you will find page one.

The Finished Project

The Resolution, when completed, will be sent to as many film festivals around the country as possible.   As the buzz for our project builds, we will marketThe Resolution and future episodes of Twisted Tales of Madness and Murder as a web based program, targeting media outlets such as Roku and Hulu.  At the same time, we’ll become a showcase for the amazing creative talent that exists in our community; both in front of and behind the cameras.
